District-Level Coordination Meeting under PCMED(Phase-4) Project

As part of the PCMED project, a District-Level Coordination Meeting was held on 23-07-2025 at Sewa Kendra, bringing together 57 participants (13 women and 44 men) from key government departments, local governance bodies, and community structures. Attendees included representatives from the DCPU, CWC, Child line 1098, Animal Husbandry Department, Kushal Yuva Karyakram, PRI members, and Hamlet Child Protection Committees (HCPCs).
The meeting began with an introduction to the PCMED project’s focus on preventing child migration, school dropouts, and early marriage, while strengthening child protection mechanisms and linking youth to skill development opportunities. Field teams shared success stories and challenges.
Highlights included:
Government departments presenting their schemes and committing to better convergence.
CWC and Childline are stressing stronger reporting, timely response, and community awareness.
Skill development programs offering pathways for youth enrolment.
PRI members pledging to integrate child protection into governance.
HCPC volunteers sharing grassroots experiences and calling for continuous training and support.
The meeting served as a strong platform for collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and collective commitment to child protection and youth empowerment. Stakeholders reaffirmed their resolve to work together to ensure safety, dignity, and opportunities for children and youth in the project area.
