On the auspicious occasion of Durga Puja from 29th September to 2nd October, 2025, a four-day exhibition of colorful items made from Sikki Mauni was organized by the members of the widow group in the “Mai Sthan temple” premises of Pujaha village of Bairia block. This shop was inaugurated by the Respected Father Finton Shah, Director of the BDSSS organization. During the inauguration of the shop father Finton, praised the widowed mothers and sisters present for their hard work and courage in taking up Sikki Mauni as their second earning source and running the exhibition on their own. He also appealed to the villagers present to support their business, so that these widowed mothers and sisters can get courage, and the negativity spread by the word "widow" in society can be reduced.
All the villagers who came to the exhibition were shared by the members of the widow group about their views and the atrocities being committed on widows. They also shared how they came out of this darkness and made this Sikki Mauni their business, and are promoting self-employment.
To promote the skills of these widowed mothers and sisters, PRI member of North Patjirwa, Mr. Harikesh Mukhiya, also visited the exhibition Centre and was impressed by the colorful handmade Sikki Mauni items made by the widows.
